A new, ONLINE course has been developed at the University of Minnesota that will be offered Fall 2014, titled, “The Social Life of Soil [SOIL 2601]“ and is about interactions between plants and soil microorganisms and agricultural practices that promote a healthy soil ecosystem.  3 credits.

SFA Sustainable Food Production Program Now Enrolling for Fall 2014

The Sustainable Farming Association’s Sustainable Food Production program is a much-needed beginning-farmer curriculum that emphasizes all three tenets of sustainability, plus provides extensive skills training. The program is now accepting enrollment for the Fall 2014 semester of Farm Skills 101, which covers the hands-on essential skills necessary for a forage-based livestock producer.
