DUNS Number Requirement ENDED for Farmers in NRCS Programs

The rule requiring producers to obtain Data Universal Number System (DUNS) and System for Award Management (SAM) numbers to participate in U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) programs has been eliminated. Congress included this repeal in the FY 2018 Omnibus spending package, USDA’s official regulatory change will be published in the Federal Register on 5/18/18. Open Hands Farm in Northfield, MN is an 17 acre fruit and vegetable operation serving a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) as well as many wholesale accounts. Our Certified Organic farm is seeking highly motivated and eager individuals to fill 1 full time or 2 part time positions, starting in May or June and going until December 1st. Water Resources Director Position with Missouri Coalition for the Environment

The Water Resources Director is primarily responsible for coordinating policy priorities and leading advocacy efforts of the Missouri Coalition for the Environment as they relate to river management and water quality in Missouri, including the Lower Missouri River from Kansas City to St. Louis and the upper and middle sections of the Mississippi River. Priority areas include floodplain reconnection, agricultural conservation, water quality, wetlands restoration, and ecosystem restoration.
