Farm Law 101 Workshop for Farm Professionals

Calling all farm educators, advisors, and related professionals! Confidently, safely help farmers understand farm law basics. Attend our Farm Law 101 Workshop for Farm Professionals. June 20, 2017 in Madison, WI and June 27, 2017 in Falcon Heights, MN.

Especially when it comes to direct to consumer and organic farm operations, legal questions abound: Can my landlord terminate my lease? I think my neighbor’s fence is on my property; what do I do? My organic land was sprayed; now what? Should I form an S corporation or a trust to protect my land?
At the end of this workshop, you’ll know the answer these questions and many more. You’ll learn where to find detailed information for yourself and the farmers you work with. You’ll understand how to stay within safe, ethical bounds when guiding farmers through legal questions.
We are hosting two workshops: one in Minnesota, one in Wisconsin. Please attend the one closest to you- WI law will be covered in the MN workshop. (Neither location feasible for you? Please contact us about potential locations for additional workshops.)
