Outreach Coordinator Position for Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman Film Documentary

RANCHER, FARMER, FISHERMAN is a powerful documentary that weaves together the stories of a Montana rancher, two Kansas farmers, and a handful of Gulf of Mexico fishermen who feed the world while stewarding the land and water they work. Four individuals are being recruited to help implement the social impact campaign for this film, which includes four screening events and grassroots outreach to build viewership for the broadcast. Two-month position begins June 26, 2017.

Based on a book by Miriam Horn, the film is a tribute to the unsung conservation heroes of America’s heartland, whose stewardship comes from a sense of moral responsibility to the past and to future generations. It is set to air on Discovery Channel August 2017, after screening at film festivals around the country.

Outreach coordinators will help plan screening events, conduct outreach to build audiences, and provide research assistance to identify organizations and individuals in the agriculture, conservation, and environmental science sectors (among others), who might help drive tune-in to the broadcast.
