Farm Journeyperson Course from Land Stewardship Project

LSP’s 2-year Journeyperson Course is designed for farmers who have a few years of farm and management under their belt, and are working to take their operation to the next level. Participants gain assistance moving their farming plans forward through advanced financial planning, production mentorship and guidance on balancing farm, family and personal needs. Apply by October 1, 2017.

Participants who develop and execute a comprehensive financial plan are eligible to have savings of up to $2400 matched to invest in a wealth-generating farm asset. The course consists of two 2-day retreats this winter, followed by shorter working retreats over the following two years, as well as in-depth, individualized work with a financial adviser and a farmer-mentor.

The cost of the Journeyperson Course is $1200. Applications and a $200 deposit are due Oct. 1. Partial needs-based scholarships are available.  For further information and application materials go to , or contact Dori Eder at 612-578-4497 or
