Volunteer to Judge Agronomy/Horticulture Exhibits at Chisago County Fair

My name is Meg from the Chisago County Fair in Rush City, MN. I am wondering if any of the Agronomy staffers would be qualified or interested in judging a few of the Open Class/Creative Arts divisions for our fair this year. Judging day is Wednesday July 19, 2017. Other judges begin at 8 am, but time is flexible. There is mileage reimbursement and a small fee paid.

Volunteer in Sustainable Sheep Booth at Clearwater Co. Fair

We have a great opportunity this summer to have an informational booth at the Clearwater County Fair August 2 – 6.  We will have a booth/table in the sheep barn with fiber art demonstrations and information about membership, junior board scholarship and internship opportunities, the Fosston Fiber Festival and other events.

Renewing the Countryside is looking for volunteers for our Healthy Local Food Exhibit at this years MN State Fair! Each year we bring in chefs, local farmers and food makers, and work to get the word out about local food. All volunteers receive free admission to the Fair and an organic cotton, healthy food t-shirt. Farmer to Farmer Short-term International Volunteer Opportunities

Land O’Lakes International Development Division is currently looking for volunteers for the USAID Farmer to Farmer Program (F2F) in the Middle East and North Africa. The Farmer to Farmer program relies on the expertise of U.S. citizens and green card holders to respond to agriculture and agribusiness needs in the developing world. Volunteers donate their time and Land O’Lakes takes care of all of the volunteer’s travel arrangements and expenses relating to the assignment.
